Welcome to the kingdoms of Morbourne, Fallhaven and Valcoast. These cities of Domhnall are unique but tied together; Trades occur, merchants travel and treaties are reviewed, signed and broken: it's a way of life. The population is a mix of humans and mages, with the ruling bodies of each kingdom the latter: super powered and deadly. Though for now there is peace, a stable peace, as each depends on the others to maintain the delicate chains of life. What all citizens of every country have most in common however is their védo, a beast that is bonded to them and protects them from the dangers of this world. In a world where loyalty is everything, which side will you choose?

i will not turn my face from

just because it is burning

She glanced across the way at the vibrant sunlight that streamed through. It had a green tint from the leaves and flora around, and it made the light all the more enchanting. Catriona sat up in the bed, breathing light, and her hair in slight disarray from being bedridden. Her powers took a toll on her, and with the last round of healing, she was put to the bed for recuperation. Her eyes weakly scanned the room. There were stone floors, stone walls, and tapestries, and windows. It was simplistic and yet as beautiful as beauty could be.

Shaking arms pushed herself from the bed, and she stood, wrapping her slender fingers around one of the wooden posts. Aeronwyn stirred just outside the door, pushing it open and looking upon the woman. "You should be resting." The vedo spoke. A fragment of sunlight danced off the tip of the unicorn, and she had to blink away the brilliance.

"Yet, what good is a head priestess if she can do no more than lay waste in bed all of her days?" She managed a smile, trying her best to instill some sort of healthful feeling inside the creature. As always, Aeronwyn saw right through her strong facade.

The vedo gestured once again to the bed, and Catriona sighed. "I shall be fine, please." She often came to a battle like this. Aeronwyn cared only for her well being and strength, while Catriona cared for the well being and strength of an entire country.

"But do not strain yourself. You are weak enough as it is." There was a brilliant smile upon her lips as she realized that the vedo was giving her freedom to leave the room.

She picked up the hems of her skirts as she made her way from the lonely confines of the room. Several of the others who often attended her on the journeys waited just outside. There were cautious looks upon their faces, but as she stood in the doorway, though she leaned, their hesitations were quieted.

The sanctuary was a prime place to meet wanderers who came for aid from the Fallhaven healers, and though she knew that she shouldn't be in such a place, as she was far too weak for anyone to approve, Catriona was drawn to the place. She made her way to one of the large trees that sprouted from the earthen ground, and she sat beneath its branches, breathing in the scents of the earth. It was a magnetic pull that even the strongest of forces couldn't drag her away. There was a calming aroma in the air, and good energy all around. The Goddess herself seemed to be ever present in the room, and when the Goddess called Catriona to the sanctuary, she was never one to turn it down.
